RE-CAP ON MY SENIOR STUDIO FINAL PROJECT

hELLO tO mY fELLOW bLOGGERS!

This blog is focusing on my senior project progress. I have chosen to do an independent living facility for the older adult. The building in which I have selected is the Owl Creek School right off of Rupple Road and Wedington Rd in Fayetteville, Ar.

Studio 8 is geared more on the design process of all the information that I've gathered in Studio 7, which was research reguarding all the possible design criteria for my independent living facility.

As I blog my progress throughout the semester, I would love if everyone could please comment, give me feedback, or suggestions to help improve my design. This is part of my grade and will consider every response!

Putting down roots

While my concept is synergy I hope to convey an idea of a strong foundation through the sub-concept of roots. It is important to have the residents feel connected and have a sense of place within the community (facility). More to come as I sketch!
